20-Year-Old Ukrainian Girl Who Looks Like A Barbie Doll

Now we’ve talked about all manner of nefarious deeds the plastic Barbie has committed, but today we’re bringing you something even a little more shocking. Hot off the Odessa Barbie production line in Ukraine is Alina Kovaleskaya. The 20-year-old became widely talked about in her hometown after uploading photographs of her doll-like appearance across the web.

It should be noted she’s not the first, in fact she’s the 3rd. Bizarrely Valeria Lukyanova and Anastasiya Shpagina are two other Barbie look-a-likes, also from the same Ukrainian town, so you can see where the inspiration came from in “I need to pack on the make-up to look like a plastic toy” department.

You have to ask though, exactly how much of her appearance is down to hours of make-up and layers of foundation or has there been a dash of cheeky photo manipulation going on? A mix of both we’d imagine. But whether her appearance is physically or digitally altered, it’s certainly a look designed to get attention and create shock & awe. To that extent she’s a genuine success.

The real question remains though, if she’s Barbie, should we worry about a dedicated Ukrainian man transforming himself into Ken?

Don’t bet against it.

MOVIES TO WATCH IN 2014

With ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ ‘‘Frozen‘ and ‘Her,’ the past year closed out with some pretty stupendous cinema. But it’s 2014 now! So out with the old and in with the new: Here are 14 movies to watch out for in 2014.

To toast the New Year, we’re looking ahead to the coming weeks and months in search of the most enticing upcoming titles. And what we found are some outrageous comedies, heart-racing romances, captivating coming-of-age stories and plenty of star-studded spectacle! By our count, there’s already 14 reasons to be pumped over 2014 in cinema.

'Gimme Shelter'

In Theaters: Jan. 24, 2014

Vanessa Hudgens digs into some serious drama (not to mention a major make-under) with this independent feature. Salacious turns in movies like 'Sucker Punch,' 'Spring Breakers' and 'Machete Kills' proved the 'High School Musical' star is not a child actor anymore. Now it's time for her to show what an accomplished actress she has become with this remarkable true story -- and we can't wait.

Written and directed by Ron Krauss, 'Gimme Shelter' has Hudgens playing Apple, a young woman who flees her abusive mother to find the father she never knew. But when his big home isn't as welcoming as she'd dreamed, Apple has to set out to form a family of her own. Rosario Dawson, Brendan Fraser and James Earl Jones co-star.

'That Awkward Moment'

In Theaters: Jan. 31, 2014

Funny enough, our next pick also features a 'High School Musical' alum! Zac Efron fronts this R-rated sex comedy about three best friends who swear off serious relationships after one has his heart broken into a million pieces. But their bro pact is threatened when these boys meet girls that understand the important things in life, like sex, scotch and Xbox.

Adding to our enthusiasm for this delectably raunchy comedy are Efron's co-stars, rising English ingénue Imogen Poots, Michael B. Jordan, who recently won critical acclaim with 'Fruitvale Station,' and Miles Teller, who stole our hearts with the stupendous coming-of-age drama 'The Spectacular Now.'

'Vampire Academy'

In Theaters: Feb. 14, 2014

Craving something with a bit of bite? Then mark your calendar for this sassy action-comedy inspired by the bestselling YA novels of Richelle Mead. Zoey Deutch stars as Rose Hathaway, a half-human/half-vampire in training to be a bodyguard for her best friend and vampire glamor girl Lissa (Lucy Fry) from the evil undead who'd do her harm. But when they aren't battling the powers of darkness, they are just dealing with the high drama inherent in high school.

Giving this YA adaptation added intrigue are its behind-the-scenes players, brothers Daniel and Mark Waters. The former is the screenwriter behind the devilish dark comedy 'Heathers,' while the latter directed the one and only 'Mean Girls.' We can't imagine a better team to tackle this sharp teen comedy.

'The Pretty One'

In Theaters: Feb. 7, 2014

'New Girl' star Jake Johnson works his curmudgeonly charms in this unconventional romantic comedy from writer-director Jenee LaMarque that has Zoe Kazan playing a pair of identical twins who are very different. Audrey is outgoing, fashionable and reckless. Laurel is timid, stuck in a time warp fashion-wise and frightened of new experiences. But after a fateful accident, Laurel makes a daring move by following in her sister's footsteps and assuming her identity. With a new lease on life, she finds herself falling for an eccentric but sweet guy next door (Johnson).

We had the chance to catch this quirky indie last spring at the Tribeca Film Festival, and have been eagerly awaiting its theatrical release ever since. While its plotline is decidedly dark, LaMarque's screenplay is wonderfully warm and funny. Best of all, the chemistry between Johnson and Kazan -- who deftly creates not one, but two compelling characters here -- is exhilarating. This is the kind of movie that'd be great for a date or a girls night out.

'The Grand Budapest Hotel'

In Theaters: March 7, 2014

Is there a filmmaker alive who makes prettier movies than Wes Anderson? The inventive writer-director behind such dazzling and delightful comedies as 'Rushmore,' 'The Royal Tenenbaums,' 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' and 'Moonrise Kingdom' is back with a murder mystery unlike any we've seen before. Over the years Andersen has shown a great gift for crafting clever characters and sensational stories. But on top of all that, his films are so flush with color they are never anything less than a feast for the eyes!

His latest ensemble piece centers on Gustave H, a concierge of the titular hotel who is suspected of foul play when one of his guests/lovers turns up dead. Hijinks and lots of fantastic banter are sure to ensue. Filling out his star-stacked ensemble are Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Lea Seydoux, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Tom Wilkinson, Harvey Keitel and F. Murray Abraham.

'Veronica Mars'

In Theaters: March 14, 2014

From 2004 to 2007, teen detective Veronica Mars was relentless in her pursuit of truth and justice as she tore through the shadiness and secrets of the affluent community of Neptune, Calif. But the show's grievous cancellation didn't kill fan devotion. And after an appeal on Kickstarter, the series' creator, Rob Thomas, paid off on his promise for a spin-off movie!

Set nine years after the final episode, the Veronica Mars movie picks up with our plucky heroine living in New York City and trying desperately to distance herself from her past and all things Neptune. But her resolve vanishes when her long lost ex-boyfriend Logan is accused of murder. In no time, Veronica returns to Neptune and shakes things up at a high school reunion we suspect no one will ever forget. She's back in action and as badass as ever!

'Divergent'

In Theaters: March 21, 2014

In 2012, 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager's' Shailene Woodley broke through in film with a Golden Globe-nominated performance in the dramedy 'The Descendants.' Now she's showing us what an action heroine she can be with this adventure story set in a dystopian world where different equals dangerous.

Adapted from Veronica Roth's YA novel, 'Divergent' stars Woodley as Beatrice Prior, a teen girl on the brink of learning which classification she qualifies for: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless or Erudite. But when she takes the aptitude test (think Harry Potter's sorting hat), she is frightened to learn she is "Divergent," a classification that makes her very existence a threat to her society's grim government. Theo James, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Ansel Elgort, Zoe Kravitz and Miles Teller co-star.

'The Other Woman'

In Theaters: April 25, 2014

You know that thing where you meet a guy who seems positively perfect, then find out he's married? The anti-heroine at the center of 'The Other Woman' does. Played by Cameron Diaz, this spunky singleton is stunned to discover her boyfriend's been hiding a wife from her. When she and his Mrs. (Leslie Mann) hit it off, they decide not to get mad, but get even.

This unconventional buddy comedy is being called 'The First Wives Club' for a younger generation. Not only does it boast a buzzed about script from rising screenwriter Melissa Stacks, but 'The Other Woman' also features appearances from 'Game of Thrones' hunk Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, fashionista/rap artist Nicki Minaj and Sports Illustrated covergirl Kate Upton. And did we mention it's directed by Nick Cassavetes, helmer of 'The Notebook'?

'Neighbors'

In Theaters: May 9, 2014

How about a double dose of R-rated comedies starring Zac Efron? As follow-up to his rocky rom-com 'The Five-Year Engagement,' director Nicholas Stoller offers 'Neighbors,' which focuses on that age-old battle between suburbanites and frat boys.

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne play a married couple with a newborn baby and a growing fear they are getting old. But this concern takes a backseat when a rowdy fraternity moves in next door. Wild parties leave their nights sleepless and their yard caked in trash and used condoms. But fighting back incites a full on prank war with the frat's oft-shirtless leader (Efron!) Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Craig Roberts co-star.

'Maleficent'

In Theaters: May 30, 2014

Think you know the story of 'Sleeping Beauty'? Guess again. Angelina Jolie brings to life the iconic Maleficent. You might know her as the cruel and shape-shifting sorceress who cursed the lovely Princess Aurora. But Disney's upcoming live-action adventure will at long last unveil this villainess' backstory, which led her to a road of wickedness and revenge. As it's helmed by two-time Academy Award-winning art designer, Robert Stromberg, we're expecting something pretty spectacular here.

Elle Fanning fills the role of the adored Aurora, while Juno Temple, Sharlto Copley, Brentn Thwaites and Imelda Staunton co-star.

'The Fault in Our Stars'

In Theaters: June 6, 2014

'Divergent' star Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort reunite for another YA adaptation, this one based on the heralded John Green novel about two teenagers who find first love while battling with terminal cancer. Woodley stars as 16-year-old Hazel Grace Lancaster, who has been fighting stage four cancer since she was 13. Her parents worry that despite her excelling in her studies, she's depressed. So they push her to go to a support group for kids living with cancer. There she meet Gus (Ansel), a former basketball player who has lost his leg, but not his spirit. Sharing a similar sense of humor, their connection is instant, beautiful and rare… but bound to be short-lived.

There was an outcry among fans when the film's poster hit with the tag line "One Sick Love Story." While the twisted humor in there didn't play to all, we're eagerly awaiting the film's first trailer and its upcoming summer release.

'Tammy'

In Theaters: July 2, 2014

After proving to be the breakout star of the 2011 smash hit 'Bridesmaids,' comedienne Melissa McCarthy could basically write her own ticket in Hollywood. And as a follow-up to her hilarious and wildly successful summer movie 'The Heat,' she's offering another sure-to-please comedy with 'Tammy.'

Penned by herself and husband Ben Falcone -- who also directs- -t his funny feature follows the titular Tammy, a woman whose life is thrown into spin when she loses her job and learns her husband has been cheating on her. How to cope? How about a road trip with her hard-drinking grandmother who swears like a sailor and is played by Susan Sarandon? Works for us!

'Gone Girl'

In Theaters: Oct. 3, 2014

Not only was Gillian Flynn's best-selling crime novel 'Gone Girl' at the top of the New York Times bestseller list for eight weeks straight, but it also was the must-see read for book clubs and bookworms nationwide thanks to its addictive prose and tantalizing twists and turns. It's fitting then that David Fincher, who has helmed such enthralling adaptations as 'Fight Club,' 'Zodiac' and 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,' has directed this chilling thriller.

Ben Affleck stars as Nick Dunne, a down-on-his-luck writer who becomes the number one suspect when his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) goes missing on their wedding anniversary. One major joy of the novel was not knowing what might happen next. And with Flynn confessing she's written a completely new third act as the adaptation's screenwriter, the same could well hold true for this tantalizing title. Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson and Tyler Perry co-star.

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1'

In Theaters: Nov. 21, 2014

Headlined by Jennifer Lawrence, this franchise inspired by Suzanne Collins' wildly popular YA novels has been shattering box office records and proving audiences will turn out in force for a female-fronted action movie. The series second installment, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' has just passed 'Iron Man 3' as the highest grossing release of 2013, so we can rightly count its follow-up, 'Mockingjay - Part 1,' as one of the most anticipated movies of 2014, if not the most.

Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) has now twice survived the cruel mechanizations of the corrupt Capitol's Hunger Games. But at the end of the Quarter Quell, she was saved by rebel force while her friend and love interest Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) was left behind. On the first half of this series finale, she'll not only have to confront her feelings for him, but also face her destiny as a leader of the growing rebellion against the Capitol and the vicious President Snow. Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin and Julianne Moore co-star.

Second Online Virginity Auction Of A Girl

Catarina Migliorini virginity

The Brazilian college student who attempted to sell her virginity through an online auction last year is hoping lightning will strike twice. In October, 2012, Catarina Migliorini was offered $780,000 for her virginity from a Japanese millionaire who bid for the privilege through a controversial online auction.

That deal was never consummated, but now she is attempting to do it again through her own website, VirginsWanted2.com. "Well, after being featured by so many media outlets in so many countries, I decided to actually auction off my virginity," she told The Huffington Post by email via a translator.
The bidding ends Dec. 12, but Migliorini said the minimum bid for her to get into bed is $100,000. She told the Brazilian website PurePeople.com.br that her goal is to get $1.5 million.

Migliorini's previous auction was part of a proposed documentary called Virgins Wanted being made by Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely. The auction made Migliorini a celebrity and Playboy cover girl in her native country, but also aroused controversy and skepticism.

In November 2012, after the auction, Brazil’s attorney general, Joao Pedro de Saboia Bandeira de Mello Filho, threatened Sisely with sex trafficking charges if the deal between Migliorini and Natsu took place.
Medical experts like Dr. Elizabeth Lyster, a board-certified gynecologist in Foster City, Calif., were incredulous, mainly because the time-honored technique of using an intact hymen to measure virginity is not foolproof, since it can be ruptured from activities like running or inserting a tampon.

"It causes a lot of problems in religious circles," Lyster told The Huffington Post.

Migliorini disagreed with the doctor and said she is prepared to do whatever it takes to prove she is truly a virgin.

"I am willing to subject myself to any exams that are necessary," she said. "When I say I am a virgin it's because there is no one in the world that can prove the contrary. I never had sexual relations of any type with anyone, not vaginal, not anal and not oral."
Migliorini said she pulled out of the original auction after she was introduced to the reputed auction winner, "Natsu." She didn't think he fit the description she had been given previously and became suspicious.

She also said she believes Sisely was trying to defraud her and others with his documentary.

“He wanted to forge words and phrases, situations and even feelings that did not exist,” she said. “For a while, I agreed but then I disagreed. To me, a real documentary must be something spontaneous.”

She also claims Sisely still owes her 20 percent of the money he is earning from the documentary.

Sisely has denied all of Migliorini's allegations and claims she breached their contract on at least two occasions.
"Aside from that, she failed to show up on filming days on several occasions. After being warned," he told HuffPost earlier this year. "After two years and three visa refusals trying to get her to Australia, she left the country for a fashion show in Brazil during filming."

He also said the finished documentary will support his side of the story.

Based on the reaction to her first attempt at selling her virginity, Migliorini is prepared for negative comments and is OK with them.

"I know that this is not a very conventional decision, but it is my decision," she said. "I am the sole owner of my own body. I am of legal age and have the right. I accept all criticism whether positive or negative, because talking is a right for all and is free." She also is fine with other women following her lead, such as "Shatuniha," the 18-year-old girl from Siberia who recently sold her virginity for $27,000.

"Of course I don't care," she said. "The sun rises for all of us."

Girl Learns She Was Born With No Vagina

A British teenager said she was in "total shock" to learn that she had been born without a vagina.

During a routine visit to the doctor, Jacqui Beck, 17, mentioned that she hadn't started getting her periods. Tests soon showed that she had MRKH syndrome, a genetic condition that meant she had been born without a vagina, womb or cervix.

"I left the doctor's [office] in tears. I would never know what it was like to give birth, be pregnant, have a period. All the things I had imagined doing suddenly got erased from my future," Beck told the Daily Mail. "I was really angry and felt like I wasn’t a real woman any more."

Shocking as it may seem, Beck is not alone. In fact, her condition isn't even especially rare. According to the National Institutes of Health, Mayer-Rokitansky-KĂĽster-Hauser syndrome (named for the physicians that first diagnosed it), or MRKH, affects one in 4,500 newborn girls.

The condition mainly affects the reproductive system and "causes the vagina and uterus to be underdeveloped or absent." According to the NIH, it mostly occurs in people with no family history of the disorder.

The external genitalia are normal, and women with MRKH have functioning ovaries and undergo puberty. The condition is usually detected once someone with MRKH tries to have sex, or doesn't begin having periods by age 16.

Like Beck, Christina Ruth was diagnosed with MRKH at age 17. She spoke out about her condition in May, after graduating from high school. She said the shame associated with the disorder can be difficult to deal with.

"I had two doctors ask me why I hadn't fixed myself yet," Ruth told Lancaster Online at the time. "That's completely inappropriate. I was born this way and should not be made to feel like I am second-rate because of it."

Although the condition has no cure, there are several treatment options available to women with MRKH. Medical procedures such as dilation or surgery can help create a vaginal canal in women with MRKH, allowing them to have intercourse. Eggs can be removed and fertilized to be used in surrogacy.

Several support communities for women with MRKH exist. The Beautiful You MRKH Foundation, a non-profit group, seeks to "eliminate the shame and isolation that often accompanies a diagnosis of MRKH."

Beck, now 19, is also taking ownership of her condition.

"I’m a hopeless romantic and I see it as a great test of someone’s character. Instead of focusing on it putting off men, I actually think it will help me find 'the one',” Beck told the Daily Mail.

"I want to be upfront with any men I meet and tell them straight away about my condition... If they run at the mention of MRKH then I don’t want to be intimate with them."

Selena Gomez Takes Some Snaps In Bikini

Selena Gomez has been keeping pretty busy with her first solo world tour, but not too busy that she couldn't find time to work on her tan for a few hours.

Two shows brought her to Florida this week, but the 21-year-old singer has been catching some serious rays during her downtime. Photographers snapped shots of the "Come and Get It" singer as she laid out by the pool in a tiny zebra-print bikini, revealing a new tattoo. From the photos, it's difficult to make out what Gomez's new body ink says, but it appears to be a cursive phrase on her right hip.

It's the third tattoo for Gomez, who also has a music note on her wrist and the Roman numerals for 76 on the back of her neck (a tribute to the year her mother was born).

Gomez also shared some photos from the bikini beach day on her Instagram account, letting everyone know that she was "off duty."

College At The Age Of 11

Carson Huey-You is starting his first year at Texas Christian University (TCU) to begin studying quantum physics at the age of 11, TCU360 reported.

His mother Claretta will escort him to his classes; he is enrolled in 14 credit hours this semester including calculus and physics and has already graduated high school as a co-valedictorian. His SAT score is 1770 and, at his admissions interview, he spoke Mandarin Chinese and played Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" on the piano. Carson could not apply to the school or for financial aid online because the forms would not accept a 2002 birthdate. Ray Brown, TCU dean of admission, said he could not remember an applicant so young. Regardless, he said, Carson will be welcomed on campus.

"[Carson] is at a place that will genuinely care about him as a person," Brown said.

Brown said the youngest to graduate TCU was a student named Sam Hong, who did so when he was 17. Carson's parents think he will graduate by the age of 16.

The young prodigy's goal is to achieve a PhD before he is 20 years old.

Claretta said she knew her son was gifted when he was three months old and at an eye exam. She said the doctor commented on her son's extraordinary ability to focus. By age two, Carson was reading chapter books and a year later, he was multiplying and dividing. When he was five, Claretta and her husband began searching for a school for him because Carson was at the academic level of an eight-grader.

Carson said he does not mind his mother following him around to his classes and he has also settled in.

"It's just really fun to have her around," Carson told NBC 5 Dallas. "I've actually managed to make a few friends here."

He said he likes to play video games, his favorite movie is "Star Wars," his favorite book series is "the Chronicles of Narnia" and he gets in trouble for roughhousing with his brother, who is seven and already doing eighth grade schoolwork.

Epic Rap Battle of History

ERB

The record-breaking digital series “Epic Rap Battles of History” (ERB), created by Peter Shukoff (aka Nice Peter) and Lloyd Ahlquist (aka EpicLLOYD), features comedic rap battles between historical and/or pop culture figures—such as Albert Einstein vs. Stephen Hawking, Mozart vs Skrillex, Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates and Moses vs Santa Claus. The series, which airs on the YouTube channel /ERB, is currently the most viewed format on YouTube on a per episode basis. The series has over 1.2 billion views and more than 7 million subscribers and due to its popularity has spawned an additional channel — /ERB2 — which features behind-the-scenes content.

Musician, comedian Nice Peter and actor, comedian, and emcee EpicLLOYD first met freestyling on a porch in Chicago. EpicLLOYD recruited Nice Peter to join the improv comedy group Mission IMPROVable, which he helped found at the University of Massachusetts and later expanded across the country. In 2009 the improv group began the M.i. Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA and after separate moves to Los Angeles, Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD connected again in the comedy circuit performing at the club.

In 2010 Nice Peter, already a well-established YouTube personality with Maker Studios, suggested that one of the live segments he, EpicLLOYD and MC Mr. Napkins (Zach Sherwin) were performing—an improv rap show that featured comedic, poignant altercations between two characters suggested by the audience—was better suited as a digital format. The duo brought the idea to Maker and hit the ground running with filmmaker Dave McCary. Tapping into his growing YouTube fan base, Nice Peter went to his channel subscribers for potential matchup ideas. Premiering on Nice Peter’s channel in September 2010 as “Epic Rap Battles of History,” John Lennon vs. Bill O’Reilly, the first battle in the series, was an instant hit. It was Episode #2 though, Adolf Hitler vs. Darth Vader that became a viral sensation—with now over 62 million views. After fifteen battles the series ended its first season with The Final Battle: Nice Peter vs. EpicLLOYD and launched Season 2 in December 2011 with a dedicated YouTube channel—/ERB.

“Epic Rap Battles of History” has featured appearances from hugely popular digital stars including LisaNova, Timothy DeLaGhetto, KassemG, Rhett and Link, Prank vs. Prank, George Watsky, Alex Farnham, and DeStorm Power, among others. In addition to the /ERB YouTube channel, the series’ behind-the-scenes channel /ERB2 features vlogs, bloopers, extra footage and more. The ERB official website is another hub for the series while also allows fans to vote for who they think won each battle. YouTube artistic sensation Mary Doodles additionally contributes to the property with her “Epic Rap Battles of History” time-lapse painting and drawing videos. The series has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, LA Times, Wired Magazine, Forbes.com, CNN.com, and The Huffington Post, among others, and generates an unprecedented average of 30 million views an episode. Season 3 premiered on October 7, 2013.
