World's Fastest Cars on the Road

Need For Speed

We’ve searched high and low for the fastest and hottest sports cars around the globe. You may be amazed at what we have discovered, as the terrain of supercars becomes more interesting each year.

Noble M600 (Great Britain): 225 mph (362 km/h), 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, Twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 Engine with 650 hp. Base price: $330,000.

This simply styled car may be the least expensive on the list (though at $330k that’s not saying much), it definitely has enough power to compete with the other rides below.

McLaren F1 (Great Britain): 240 mph (386 km/h), 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, BMW S70/2 60 Degree V12 Engine with 627 hp. Base price: $970,000.

Produced in 1992, the McLaren F1 is a legend in the racing world, far surpassing the abilities of other track contenders from the 1990s through today.

Ferrari LaFerrari (Italy): 220 mph (354 km/h), 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 6.3-liter V12 Engine with 800 PS (588 kW; 789 bhp). Base price: $1,690,000.

The only hybrid on the list, the upcoming LaFerrari is one of the leanest, most beautiful Ferraris of the 21st century – a reincarnation of the legendary Enzo.

Pagani Huayra (Italy): 231 mph (372 km/h), 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, Twin-Turbo AMG 60 Degree 6.0-liter pumping out 720 hp. Base price: $1,300,000.

Paganis aren’t street-legal in the U.S., so for now the only place you’ll find them is on the streets of Monaco and in the driveways of incredibly wealthy crime bosses businessmen. But you can still dream, right?

Hennessey Venom GT (USA): 266 mph (428 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds, 6.2-liter LS9 Turbocharged V8 Twin Turbo V8 Engine producing 1200 hp. Base price: $950,000.

Though it has only reached one mile per hour of velocity under that of the Veyron Super Sport, American hyper-car brand Hennessey claims that given enough space the Venom GT can reach a top speed of a staggering 275 mph. Because its claimed ability is so much more than that of the Veyron, and because the tested speed came so close to it, we had to implement a tie for first place.

Gumpert Apollo (Germany): 225 mph (362 km/h), 0-60 in 3.0 seconds, 4.2-liter V8 Engine churning 650 hp. Base price: $450,000.

It may not have the sleekest design, but it definitely looks menacing. Its counterpart, the Apollo R, is a little slower but looks even meaner.

Koenigsegg CCX (Sweden): 245 mph (394 km/h), 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, 90 Degree V8 Engine making 806 hp. Base price: $545,568.

A predecessor of the Agera R, the CCX first appeared in American markets in 2006. This Koenigsegg is street legal in the United States, it just costs a small fortune to get it.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport (France): 267 mph (429 km/h), 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, Aluminum Narrow Angle 8-liter W16 Engine with 1200 hp. Base price: $2,400,000.

The Bugatti Veyron line has been widely accepted as one of the fastest street-legal cars in the world since 2005 when they first went in production. But Bugatti hasn’t stopped, continually producing newer and faster models of the Veyron nearly every year.

Koenigsegg Agera R (Sweden): 260 mph (418 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds, 5.0-liter V8 Engine with Twin Turbos, housing 1099 hp. Base price: $1,600,000.

The Swedish brand has always been a bit of an enigma in the car world, with unverified rumors of speed records and controversies over street-legality. Fortunately, this model has been officially clocked at 260 mph and is one of few Koenigseggs that are street-legal in the United States.

9ff GT9-R (Germany): 257 mph (413 km/h), 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 4.0-liter flat-6 Twin-Turbo Engine with 1120 hp. Base price: $695,00o.

The 9ff is a German tuning company (similar to Hennessey and Shelby) operating out of Dortmund, and the GT9-R is its revision of the Porsche Carrera. Keeping consistent with Porsche’s ability to be quick, the GT9-R can hit 60 mph in under three seconds.

Zenvo ST1 (Denmark): 233 mph (374 km/h), 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, Twin-Charged 7.0-liter V8 Engine forging 1,104 hp. Base price: $1,225,000.

There are only 15 of these Denmark-made cars. As such, Zenvo guarantees they’ll come to you if that ST1 ever needs maintenance.

Lamborghini Veneno (Italy): 220 mph (356), 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, 6.5-liter V12 Engine with 740 hp. Base price: $3,900,000.

Talk about dreaming big! The price tag for this beauty rests at just under $4 million, and only three of the Italian bulls (as all Lamborghinis are named after fighting bulls) were made worldwide.

SSC (Shelby Super Cars) Ultimate Aero (USA): 257 mph (413 km/h), 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, Twin-Turbo V8 Engine with 1183 hp. Base price: $654,400.

Shelby is the closest thing Hennessey has to a turf rival. Both companies only produce only limited-edition hyper-cars and souped-up versions of domestic brands’ sportier vehicles, such as Ford Mustangs, Cadillac CT-Vs, Dodge SRTs, and the like. The Ultimate Aero held the “Fastest Car in the World” title for three years between 2007 and 2010 — then the above contenders pushed it to third.

Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo (USA): 248 mph (399 km/h), 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, Twin Turbo All Aluminum V8 Engine with 750 hp, base price: $555,000.

The S7 is the first true (and prevailing) contender to the likes of the McLaren F1. It gained praise for its 8-mile-per-hour dominance as well as its innovative styling, mixing a cutely bug-eyed face with a mean vent-covered body.

Aston Martin One-77 (Great Britain): 220 mph (354 km/h), 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, 7.3-liter V12 Engine with 750 hp. Base price: $1,850,000.

The next logical trade-in for James Bond, the One-77 is as sexy as, and faster than, any Aston. Plus, much like Mr. Bond’s female acquaintances, the One-77 seems like something we’d like to wake up to in the morning.

Famous Twins in The World

Whether in the movies, sports, or in the music scene, we have come to know some of the most interesting and most renowned twins in history. The following is a list of famous twins who have made headlines because of their talents and accomplishments throughout the years.

1. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

The world knows that these two have their own dispositions and sense of fashion, but no one can dispute the fact that the Olsens are amazing when they work together. In fact, it was their infamous role as twins in the TV sitcom Full House that propelled their success, and even in the billing, the two were inseparable! Dulastar, the production company’s name, was able to produce a number of top-selling films by these renowned twins including Billboard Dad, It Takes Two, and New York Minute, to name a few. The Olsens also started their range of fashion lines and posed for a few ads such as the Badgley Mischka. With their fashion empire that reaches over $1 billion, these two are indeed among the wealthiest twins in Hollywood.

2. Jenna and Barbara Bush

The renowned fraternal twins, who were also the former first daughters, have their own unique qualities despite the fact that they were born a few minutes apart. One pursued the arts, while the other flourished with her media career. In terms of physical appearance and character, these two are also quite different – as one is blonde and vivacious, while the other is brunette and quiet. Nevertheless, the two were inseparably close even after their years in the White House after Bush took office. With their thriving careers, enigmatic personalities and staying power, Jenna and Barbara are indeed one of the best duo in history.

3. Ronde and Tiki Barber

Everybody knows that the world of sports can be a tough and competitive one, yet Ronde and Tiki Barber were hardly against each other as they fought against other football teams since they were still in college. These famous football player twins were born five weeks early and seven minutes apart, and both of them have decided to live a fulfilling and successful life ever since. The Barber twins were both football players at the University of Virginia, where Ronde was at cornerback and Tiki did great at running back. Although recently, their careers diverged quite a bit when Tiki retired from playing football and began a career as a commentator while Ronde remained as a cornerback for the same team he played for 16 seasons ago. Nevertheless, these two have managed to achieved success in everything they do – whether they work together or not.

4. Robin and Maurice Gibb
Robin and Maurice were famous for their wildly successful disco/pop band, The Bee Gees. The twin brother formed the band together with Barry, their older brother. Maurice, who was 35 minutes younger than Robin, died in January 2003 after severe complications when he had intestinal surgery. On the other hand, Robin passed away in May 2012 because of his long-term battle with cancer. The two were very close with each other, and Robin spoke dearly of his beloved Maurice during his final moments in 2012. It was the twins’ distinctive harmonies and Barry’s falsetto that made the Bee Gees famous for decades, and they earned numerous awards for their hard work and remarkable talents.

5. Joel and Benji Madden

These world-famous rockstars also led a fascinating career because of their outstanding talents and great collaboration. The identical twin brothers formed the rock band Good Charlotte in 1996, along with their two other friends in Maryland. Joel was the band’s lead vocals while Benji played the lead guitar and did backup vocals. The band made it big in the music scene with their top hits such as “Little Things”, and “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous”. Although they have not been in the limelight for quite some time now, the two were controversial because of their love life. Benji was known to have dated some of the most gorgeous women in the world including Paris Hilton, Holly Madison and Sophie Monk, while Joel dated Hilary Duff before he settled down and married Nicole Richie.

6. Tegan and Sara Quinn

Another set of successful twins in the world of music is Tegan and Sara Quinn, who formed the famous indie rock band – Tegan and Sara. These two have been writing their own songs and playing the guitar since they were 15, and they became famous not only for their music, but also for their causes. While they do not consider their music as “overly political”, they are passionate political and social activists. The two released their first album in 1999, “Under Feet Like Ours”, and their seventh album was released in January 2013.

Kris Jenner's Sex Tape With Bruce

We guess it runs in the family.

Kris Jenner managed to simultaneously horrify and amuse her family when she revealed that she and husband Bruce Jenner made a sex tape.

In a teaser clip for an upcoming episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Kris drops the bombshell on the family, after Bruce scolds Khloe for telling his 17-year-old daughter, Kendall, about the racy photos she recently took for her husband, Lamar, in which she posed in a latex catsuit.

"Uh Khloe, do you really think you should be having this conversation with a 17-year-old? I'm all for spicing up a relationship, but ..." Bruce says before he's interrupted by Kris, who asks, "You are?"

He continued, "I'm just saying, especially in this family, photos leaking, this and that, look at the problems it’s caused."

And that's when Kris revealed to her family, "Bruce and I did a video."

"Exercise video, honey,” an absolutely mortified-looking Bruce tried to claim, but Kris just wouldn't drop it.

“Bruce and I made a sex tape," Kris tells the whole family, who will now need more years of therapy than they already do.

At least Bruce claims that they erased it immediately, but we wouldn't be too surprised it that's the next "leaked" video scandal the family is facing.

Women gang raped in Delaware park

Two women said they were gang raped Thursday in a Wilmington, Del., park by 10 to 12 suspects identified by police as juveniles,

The alleged attack occurred inside Kosciuszko Park at approximately 7 p.m. Police say the women, ages 32 and 24, were sitting in the park when they were approached by a group of juveniles they described as black males.

One of the women called 911 to report a rape, but it was unclear if there were other witnesses to assist in the investigation. Detectives, at this point, do not have any suspects.
"Take accountability, step up, turn yourselves in so that way we could move forward"
- Cpl. Jamaine Crawford, of Wilmington Police

"Take accountability, step up, turn yourselves in so that way we could move forward," Cpl. Jamaine Crawford, of Wilmington Police, said according to Frank Roberts lives across the street from the park said, "I can't believe it. ... Didn't hear a thing. None or us did. We were all home."

The alleged attackers fled in an unknown direction, the report said. The condition of the women, who were taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital, was not released, the report said.
"This park is not safe to walk around in at night," Louise Riley, who lives near the park, told  "You can tell that a lot goes on in here by the discarded condoms, and police driving by cannot see the isolated pockets from the road."

Despite the stepped up patrols in the park, Roberts isn't taking any chances with his 20-year-old granddaughter.

"I'm gonna to tell her to stay out of the park after dark -- or during the day," he said.
